JTA Connection Oy has established a subsidiary in Estonia under the name JTA Connection OÜ. The company will start operations on July 1, 2022.
The new company’s purpose is to support JTA Connection’s industrial automation project business by offering good customer service to JTA Connection’s customers operating in Estonia and the rest of the Baltic region.
In practice, the Estonian subsidiary initially operates as an engineering office, employing a few mechanical designers and PLC/robot programmers. Sales, official communication with customers, and project management are still operating from Finland.
“We’ll start our operations in Estonia by offering better service to our current customers in the region by moving closer to them, but we see a lot of new business opportunities in the Baltic countries too. Our goal is that by the end of 2023, we would have close to ten employees in Estonia, and we would have grown our customer base there,” says Jere Mattjus, CEO of JTA Connection Oy.
Priit Pihlakas is starting as a JTA Connection OÜ’s CEO and is responsible for operational activities in Estonia. Pihlakas has previously worked as JTA Connection’s Sales Manager in Estonia.
“I’m very excited for this opportunity to develop JTA Connection operations in Estonia and also to expand it to the other Baltic countries. In recent years, JTA Connection has delivered several significant projects to Estonia, and we are also a certified dealer of MiR mobile robots in the entire Baltic region. Therefore, this is a very consistent step towards new growth,” Pihlakas says.
